So, I have been on a reading kick lately. Not just educational books, but books for leisure that you can take away a life lesson from. I have all this extra time to read since my student teaching is over and considering I will be pretty busy come the fall (hopefully) I wanted to catch up on my reading list.
This book was recommended to me at a perfect time in my life. I finished the entire book in 2 and a half days.(that is saying a lot for me hehe) I couldn't put it down. I learned that this book has been translated into 22 different languages. Wow.
The story has a few explicatives, but if you can get pass that and grasp the real meaning within the story you will take away something far more than the language used to portray the message. This story isn't just for educators or future educators. I would recommend this book to anyone who has a future, especially if you didn't have the 5-star childhood that one may think you need in order to succeed in life. It will really hit home to those who struggled for everything they have and will ever have. I cannot express in words how wonderful this book was. Most definitely on my top 5 must reads!!
